These terms apply to everyone who uses Proptiva Ratings: visitors, reviewers and companies. By using the site you agree to them.

Information on this site
Reviews are reviewers’ own experiences and opinions. Checked facts are accurate as of the date shown. Nothing on this site is legal, financial or investment advice, and nothing is a guarantee about any company, property or transaction. Always do your own checks before paying, including an independent lawyer’s search on any title.
If you write a review
- You confirm it is true to the best of your knowledge, about your own dealings with the company, and follows our review rules.
- You give Proptiva a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for our rules, and display it on Proptiva Ratings and in Proptiva’s own channels.
- You agree to provide evidence if asked, and that we may share the substance of your review (not your contact details) with the company so it can respond.
- You are responsible for what you write. Proptiva hosts reviews and checks them for evidence of a transaction, but does not adopt them as its own statements.
- You agree to indemnify Proptiva Africa Limited against any claim, loss or reasonable legal cost arising from a review you knowingly or recklessly made false, or that otherwise breaks the law or our review rules.
If you represent a company
- You confirm you are authorised to act for the company, and that the documents you upload are genuine.
- You may reply to reviews, dispute them and update your profile. You must not contact reviewers to pressure them, offer them anything to change or remove a review, or post reviews about your own company or a competitor.
- We may remove your access, reject a claim, or publish a note on the profile if these terms are broken.
- Paid services (Proptiva Checked, Company checks) have their own terms, sent with the payment link. Payment never changes ratings, reviews or search order.
Accounts
Keep your password safe and tell us about any misuse. One account can be a client of Proptiva Africa and a company representative here. We may suspend accounts used to break these terms.
Our liability
Proptiva Ratings is free to use and is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the free site, including decisions you make based on reviews, ratings or checked facts.
- For paid services (Company checks and Proptiva Checked), our total liability for any claim is limited to the fee you paid for that service.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including the loss of a property, a deposit or a profit, arising from a decision to buy, rent, build or pay.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, or liability for fraud or deliberate wrongdoing by us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, either side may notify the other in writing and we will both try in good faith to settle it within 30 days. If it is not settled, it will be decided by the High Court of Lagos State, and both sides submit to that court’s jurisdiction.
